Youll work in a dynamic pharmacy environment focused on prescription processing, patient interaction, and operational flow. Interviews are moving fastand so should you. Job Type: Contract (Temp-to-Hire Potential) Location: Roanoke, VA Schedule: Monday Friday | 8:30 AM 5:00 PM Start Date: ASAP (typically 1.52 weeks post-offer) Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (with possible temp-to-hire conversion) Key Responsibilities Accurately process and fill prescriptions for pharmacist verification Handle insurance adjudications, resolve claim rejections, and communicate with providers Support inventory management: restocking, cycle counts, and expiration tracking Package and prepare medications for shipping or patient delivery Perform data entry, document handling, and medication order preparation Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and state/federal pharmacy laws Cross-train across operational areas to support team efficiency Comfortably engage in outbound and inbound pharmacy-related calls Ideal Candidate Has a retail pharmacy background (not hospital) Feels confident navigating Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Is comfortable making patient calls and talking to providers Enjoys a fast-paced, team-based environment Takes ownership, solves problems, and moves with urgency Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED (required) PTCB Certification (required) Registered Pharmacy Technician license in good standing (Virginia) At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician Call center or high-volume retail background preferred Strong multitasking, time management, and communication skills Perks & Culture Quick interview and placement turnaround Potential to convert to a permanent role MondayFriday scheduleno nights, no weekends Opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, tech-forward pharmacy environment Hands-on support from a recruiter who understands the urgency Why Join Us?
