Responsibilities: Supports & assists the Pharmacist in the medication use process by providing safe and efficient medication management & patient care to patients (neonate to geriatric), physicians, employees, and the public.Requires following appropriate guidelines under the supervision of the pharmacist for medication preparation and distribution. Functions in an environment which requires teamwork and flexibility to provide medications to patients. QualificationsRequired: Active National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Pharmacy Technician (State) (KY) - Must obtain Pharmacy Technician (State) (PHT) credential within 30 days of employment if no prior technician experience. Must obtain Pharmacy Technician (State) (PHT) credential at hire if prior experience as a technician.
