Make an Impact  – Help students with special needs build life skills, confidence, and independence in a supportive school environment Your Role as a COTA: Implement individualized IEP goals and objectives to support fine motor skills, perceptual motor skills, self-care, sensory integration, play activities, and neuromuscular function. Provide occupational therapy interventions that address student needs and encourage progress. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, related service professionals, school district personnel, outside service providers, and families to design and deliver appropriate services. Apply behavior management strategies, demonstrating knowledge of student privileges and responsibilities. Complete and submit quarterly Progress Reports, providing updates to parents/guardians and school districts. Manage occupational therapy supplies and equipment, ordering additional supplies or sensory devices as needed/requested. Travel to multiple school locations as necessary, maintaining daily billing logs aligned with IEP service guidelines Required Qualifications: Must possess strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with child, parent/guardian, multidisciplinary team members, and other personnel involved in child’s educational/behavioral program. Must have knowledge of child development and common behavioral disorders exhibited by children and adolescents. Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
