Overview Job Title: On Air Personality Department: Programming Reporting To: Brand Manager Employment Type: Part Time Work Arrangement: On-site Job Description: Audacy New York is looking for an On Air Personality to join our classic Hip Hop and Throwback station, 94.7 The Block! The Block features songs and artists that are synonymous with New York’s iconic hip-hop culture and history. You’ll hear artists like Jay-Z, LL Cool J, Rihanna, Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, and more on The Block. As an On Air Personality, you will live, breathe, and understand all facets of Hip Hop music, history, and culture in NYC. Pay Transparency: The anticipated starting salary range for New York City-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $35/hr-$61/hr. Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, location of the applicant, and internal/external equity. Responsibilities What You'll Do: Create original content and perform live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; manage online personality presence Protect the station’s FCC license Monitor music and commercial logs for your air-shift Ensure promotions and contests are executed properly Operate the control board and perform production work Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts Perform other duties as required by management Qualifications More About You: Extensive knowledge of and enthusiasm for Class Hip Hop; understanding of the audience and NYC’s Hip Hop history Excellent communication and strong creative skills Solid production skills; familiarity with studio audio equipment and digital systems like Audio Vault and RCS Master Control Knowledge of FCC rules and local demographics Excellent on-air voice with a proven track record Collaborative attitude with sales teams Valid driver’s license, satisfactory motor vehicle record, and proof of insurance if using own vehicle Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting; use of hands and fingers; reaching; talking and hearing Vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment Majority of work involves sitting at the broadcast board, speaking into a microphone, and manipulating controls Important Notes: Please be aware that Audacy will never ask you to send money during the hiring process.
