Job Description
We're looking for an experienced catering prep cook to join our events team! This is a part-time position with hours fluctuating based on our events schedule, typically around 15 hours per month, with opportunities for more depending on ability to work off-site events.
The Cook and The Cork is an award-winning restaurant in Coral Springs, Florida, renowned for our global tapas-style dishes and extensive, award-winning wine list. We're dedicated to serving our guests high-quality food and exceptional service in a stylish yet casual setting. We are seeking someone who shares our passion for creating memorable dining experiences for both intimate gatherings and large-scale events.
This is a great opportunity to learn advanced culinary techniques from our owner and executive chef, Keith Blauschild, CEC. You'll be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items to our high standards and recipes. We're looking for a motivated individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and who takes pride in their work.
Skills & Requirements
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of Food Service Sanitation Standards
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment use and operation
- Ability to bend, stoop, stand, kneel and crouch more than 50% of the time. Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Must also possess the ability to taste and respond to visual and aural cues; must be able to verbally communicate with employees at all times.
