Cardiac Stress Monitor Technician - Heart & Vascular Specialists - Full-time, DaysBring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + TogetherWork location: 2505 Scripture St., Suite 100, Denton, TX 76201Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Thursday, 8:00am - 5:00pm and Friday, 8:00am - 2:00pmTravel: 25% to surrounding clinics in Flower Mound as needed (mileage reimbursement provided)Heart & Vascular Specialists Department Highlights:Well-established Cardiovascular clinic whose priority is to bring reliable healthcare to the community we serveOffering cardiac and vascular testing to meet the needs of our patientsTeamwork between providers, clinical staff and ancillary staffCompassion and empathy to our patients and family members Here's What You NeedHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required) andCMA - Certified Medical Assistant with 2 years' experience Monitoring Cardiac Stress Testing (required) orAssociate degree in Exercise Physiology or relevant Healthcare field (required)Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology or relevant Healthcare field (preferred) Knowledge of EKG rhythms and interpretation, including fatal rhythms (strongly preferred)IV starts capability (strongly preferred)BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (required)6 months experience in Cardiac or Stress Testing environment (preferred)Documentation of EKG training (preferred)ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (preferred)Have basic knowledge EKGs and stress testingMust possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalismAbility to effectively communicate to staff and patientsDemonstrates sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situationsMaintains a positive, caring attitude towards patientsGood computer skills using a medical management applicationWhat You Will DoDelivers care to patients utilizing the Cardiac Stress Monitor Technician ProcessDeliver appropriate care to patients by performing walking Exercise stress testing and Stress Echo testing Work with the physicians to produce quality stress tests by ensuring correct lead placement, operating stress testing equipment, monitoring patients at rest, stress and recovery and recording blood pressures as directedPrepare preliminary reports of test results for interpretation by the physicianCommunicate with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing or after stress testing Prepare testing rooms, stock supplies and maintain daily cleaning list Can expect to cross-train in the Nuclear department for stress test coverage and IV starts and for help with Holter report documentation Be prepared to escalate non-routine issues to the practice manager or physicianPerforms other duties as assigned by practice manager or physicianAdditional perks of being a Texas Health employeeBenefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, Student Loan Repayment Program as well as several other benefits.Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.Strong Unit Based Council (UBC).A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth.Learn more about our culture, benefits, and recent awards.Entity Highlights:Texas Health Physicians Group includes more than 1,000 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality, patient-safe care at more than 240 offices located throughout the DFW Metroplex.THPG members are active in group governance and serve on multiple committees and councils.
