Business Manager - AI Workstations and Servers

Acer is expanding its portfolio of high-performance computing products to meet the growing demand for AI development, training, and enterprise deployment. As the Business Manager for AI Workstations & Servers, you will own the commercial success, channel strategy, and financial performance of Acer’s AI-focused hardware solutions, including Acer/Altos GPU workstations, rack-scale server platforms, and AI appliance systems. This role partners cross-functionally with product management, engineering, manufacturing, global sales, and channel partners to drive revenue growth, market share, and profitability across enterprise, government, education, and research segments.
Functions and Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Ownership
Own revenue, margin, and market share performance for Acer’s AI workstation and server portfolio
Develop quarterly and multi-year business plans aligned with Acer’s AI growth strategy
Identify expansion opportunities across enterprise AI, edge AI, research computing, and AI data centers
Translate product roadmaps into actionable commercial strategies
Market & Channel Strategy
Define channel strategy across distributors, resellers, system integrators, and enterprise accounts
Build strong relationships with key partners to drive sell-in and sell-through performance
Align with GPU and platform ecosystems (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) from a go-to-market and revenue perspective
Conduct competitive analysis across global OEMs to position Acer effectively
Forecasting & Demand Planning
Develop and manage rolling forecasts for revenue, demand, and inventory
Partner with supply chain and operations to ensure product availability and optimize inventory levels
Align forecasts with global and regional sales teams to improve accuracy and execution
Go-to-Market Execution
Own global and regional go-to-market strategy for AI platforms
Define SKU strategy, pricing frameworks, and regional localization requirements
Support marketing with positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation
Enable sales teams with training, pricing guidance, and customer-facing materials
Customer & Partner Engagement
Engage with enterprise customers, research institutions, and partners to understand AI workload needs
Support large deals, bids, and RFPs with both technical positioning and business justification
Collaborate with software and ecosystem partners (AI frameworks, orchestration platforms) to strengthen solutions
Act as a key commercial interface between customers and internal teams
Performance & Lifecycle Management
Monitor product performance including revenue, margin, and market adoption
Drive pricing strategy, promotions, and lifecycle optimization
Partner with product management and engineering to provide market feedback and influence future offerings
Track BOM trends and cost dynamics to protect and improve profitability
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
3–7+ years of experience in business management, product management, or sales within server, workstation, or AI infrastructure environments
Strong understanding of AI/ML workloads (training, inference, LLMs) and their commercial applications
Knowledge of GPU architectures and accelerator ecosystems (NVIDIA, AMD, etc.)
Experience with server/workstation platforms and enterprise infrastructure solutions
Proven ability to manage forecasts, revenue targets, and channel performance
Experience working with OEM/ODM partners and global supply chains
Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills
Experience supporting enterprise AI deployments or HPC environments
Familiarity with system integrators, cloud providers, and research computing ecosystems
Ability to translate technical product capabilities into clear business value propositions
