About You The Business Development Manager (Salons) - Mid-Atlantic is a field sales role based in the Philadelphia/Washington, DC area. You will drive business, brand loyalty and brand recognition in a defined geographic territory through new salon development and growth strategies.
Although Nutrafol is distributed and remote-first, the successful candidate must reside in the Philadelphia, PA or Washington, DC area and be located near a major airport, as travel across the Mid-Atlantic is required.
This role works with the Salon Director and inside sales to grow territory and salon sales through product education, sell-in and sell-through strategies, business consultation, merchandising, promotions, and relationship management. You’ll report to the Salon Director for your territory with targets for new business development and growth of existing accounts.
Responsibilities Create strong, trusting relationships with salon owners, stylists and employees
Manage both existing and new business development
Maintain a strong funnel of potential new business
Collaborate with Salon Director to support sell-in and sell-through strategies at a salon-by-salon level
Deliver high-quality in-salon presentations and product classes
Launch new salons and retail accounts
Meet new business goals
Sell in new products to existing salons and spas
Achieve individual revenue goals through education and consultation with salon personnel
Support retail segment sales through merchandising and promotions
Manage a systematic meeting schedule for assigned accounts
Execute strategic education plans for salons in focus accounts
Promote, plan and assist in regional and national events
Attend all company meetings and trainings
Overnight travel up to 70% within the territory (up to 4 days per week)
Requirements Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of relevant sales/retail experience
Experience selling into professional accounts in salons/health & wellness/cosmetics; external salon professional sales experience preferred
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to prospect and close new business
Strategic and analytical thinking
Service oriented; adaptable to different personality types
Competitive and collaborative
Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook; ability to learn Slack and Salesforce
75% travel required (4 days/week in the field; varies by territory)
Nutrafol considers a wide range of factors in compensation decisions. The listed range reflects annual base salary and does not include additional perks, benefits, or bonus eligibility.
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000 USD
