Stoltzfus Meats makes and sells fine, fresh, homestyle foods-and we're looking for a Full-Time Grill Cook to join our team at Amos' Place Restaurant! In this role, you'll prepare hot sandwiches and entrees using fresh ingredients on a griddle, char grill, and rapid oven. You'll also assist with various kitchen prep tasks in a fun, fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications:

• Age 18+

• Able to stand, twist, and work in high temperatures for extended periods

• Able to regularly lift 25-50 lbs

• Experience as a grill, line, or short-order cook is preferred; but training is available if needed.

  • Must be comfortable using a griddle and char grill; rapid oven experience is a plus

• Team-oriented with strong communication skills

• Flexible, reliable, punctual, and willing to assist wherever needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare breakfast items and hot sandwiches by braising and grilling meats and vegetables

• Ensure all ingredients are fresh and food is cooked to proper temperatures

• Follow safety and hygiene practices, including preventing cross-contamination

• Prepare meals using standardized recipes and portion controls

• Communicate effectively with kitchen team members

• Manage multiple food orders at once and ensure timely dish completion

• Assist with kitchen prep, trash removal, and light bussing when needed

• Keep workstations clean, organized, and well-stocked

• Support a positive team culture and perform other duties as assigned

Schedule & Benefits:

• 3-4 shifts per week (approx. 9 hours each), typically 10 AM - 7 PM

• Friday and Saturday availability is required

• Amos's Place operates Monday-Friday: 6 AM - 6 PM, and Saturday: 6 AM - 5 PM

• No late nights and no Sundays!

• Year-round position (not ideal for students unavailable during school sessions)
