Job Summary Our client is seeking a licensed clinician to join their team to provide behavioral health services for older New Yorkers. This role involves delivering an innovative service under the Thrive NYC initiative, focused on expanding access to mental health care by operating a satellite mental health clinic within local senior centers. Key Responsibilities Utilize outreach strategies to engage older adults in mental health services at senior centers. Provide evidence-based mental health interventions in both individual and group modalities. Administer mental health screening tools to detect possible disorders and impairments. Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences for treatment and case plans. Provide a full range of psychiatric social services including developing and monitoring treatment plans. Conduct group psychotherapy services for clients and families under psychiatric supervision. Represent the agency at DFTA events and other community conferences. Complete required case records and reports within mandated timeframes using computer systems. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Possession of or candidacy for a New York State License in Clinical Social Work or Clinical Psychology. Consideration may be given to LMSW, LMHC, LCAT, or LMFT credentials. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. Strong writing and record-keeping skills. Understanding of the impact of race, religion, ethnicity, sexual preference, and values in client service.
