Pay/Schedule/Location/Benefits:

  • Starting at $16.00-$18.00/hr DOE
  • Stone Oak area, San Antonio, TX
  • Mon-Fri Office Hours

Medical Assistant Duties:

  • Clinical Support: Assist physicians during exams and procedures, take patient histories, record vital signs, and prepare patients for medical evaluations.
  • Medical Procedures: Administer medications and injections, perform basic lab tests, and prepare specimens for analysis as directed.
  • Patient Care & Education: Provide education on health maintenance and disease prevention in both English and Spanish. Maintain a clean, organized care environment.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage appointment scheduling, maintain accurate patient records, and support billing, coding, and other administrative duties as needed.

Medical Assistant Requirements:

  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant, hands-on experience as a Medical Assistant. Candidates with a consistent work history in healthcare with no significant gaps in employment are preferred.
  • Certification: Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred, but not required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required: Candidates must be able to communicate fluently with Spanish-speaking patients.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Submit to a drug screen & criminal background check.
