The Opportunity Join our dynamic team dedicated to preparing donors and ensuring a smooth pheresis process. You will play a vital role in reporting to the Assistant Center Manager while providing outstanding support to our donors. Your Responsibilities Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process. Monitor donors and the pheresis process, responding swiftly to alarms or signals. Disconnect donors safely upon process completion. Maintain vigilance to identify any donor reactions during and post-pheresis, promptly notifying the appropriate staff. Utilize a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to document incidents during the pheresis process, including machine alerts and donor adverse events. Link equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to each donor via the PDA. Notify the Group Leader or Supervisor about any donor flow issues. Accurately record donor data in the electronic donor management system in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Understand policies related to hyper immune programs when applicable. Ensure a clean and efficient work environment, maintaining adequate supplies as needed. Uphold all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and OSHA policies, promoting safety in every action. Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information. May undergo cross-training in various areas to fulfill business needs. Perform additional job-related duties as required. Your Skills and Experience Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience: A minimum of three months’ experience in a medical or health provider environment, or a combination of education and experience will be considered. Math Skills: Basic math calculations. Working Conditions Ability to understand, remember, and apply both oral and written instructions. Must be able to interact with customers and observe equipment operation. Occasionally stand and walk for extended periods. Reach, bend, kneel, and demonstrate manual dexterity. Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens; personal protective equipment is provided and must be worn as necessary. Willingness to work overtime and extended hours to meet operational demands.
