KRISP Fresh Living is a specialty coffee shop looking for experienced barista shift leads (minimum two years experience) at our Irvine location on Michelson. We are looking for energetic and dedicated individuals to grow with us as this position leads to several career paths, including, but not limited to: assistant store manager and store manager.

The shift lead position is responsible for assisting the store manager in maintaining a positive environment, which provides fast, efficient, and friendly service while ensuring a quality experience for both our customers and team members. Shift supervisors assist in training, customer service, product knowledge and education, encouraging safe work practices, and a demonstrated commitment to KRISP guidelines and rules. This position directly supervises the barista and acts as the manager on duty in the absence of the store and/or assistant manager. The Barista Shift Supervisor shall fulfill any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager and Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Prepares coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as espresso, latte, and cappuccino.

Multi-task to work efficiently and safely to fulfill all customers' orders.

Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

Maintain inventory by replenishing coffee bean supply, stocking coffee brewing equipment, pastries and cookies for coffee bar.

Organize and maintain cleanliness of the work areas.

Report all customer complaints and safety hazards to manager or supervisor on duty.

Act proactively to resolve customer service situations.

Answer phone calls in friendly manner on inquires of directions to store location, business hours, receiving and filling customer orders.

Educate customers on KRISP products and services.

Restock shelves and condiments stations as necessary.

Train and assist new teammates through positive reinforcement and coaching.

Assist in distributing supply shipments.

Qualifications:

Minimum two years of management experience

Be punctual; act with integrity and honestly. Ability to uphold positive company morale.

Customer service in hospitality industry of 1 year or above preferred.

Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.

Ability to work "clean as you go"

Well organized and detail oriented.

Have a sense of urgency.

Able to work flexible hours including but not limited to weekends, holidays, early morning opening and closing shifts.

Able to learn quickly and embrace changes.

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

Able to lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds.

Able to stand for long hours.

Able to follow directions and provide feedback to the management.

Willingness to work as part of a team.

**Starting salary varies depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time (30-40hrs per week)

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
