JOB SUMMARY:

The Banquet Server’s primary responsibility is to uphold the restaurant’s high standards of excellence by providing the highest quality of service to guests. The Banquet Server is responsible for the serving, set-up and cleanup and take down of all banquet functions. The Banquet Server is also responsible for maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere while adhering to quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  1. Must have the ability to provide professional and courteous guest service
  2. Must have good time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  3. Must have good organizational skills, the ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.

4.Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate both verbally and in writing.

  1. Must have the ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude during all interactions.
  2. Must have the ability to interact with guests in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner.
  3. Must have a working knowledge of computers and basic math skills.
  4. Previous banquet and/or serving experience preferred, but not required.
  5. Must be 18 years of age to serve alcohol.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.Assists all guests in a professional and courteous manner.

  1. Performs job duties and responsibilities in a cost effective manner and within budgetary guidelines.
  2. Sets up the banquet rooms per the specification of the BEOs, and then resets the rooms to the original state after the event has concluded.
  3. Greets and welcomes guests and responds to their requests in a courteous and professional manner.
  4. Serves food and beverages in the appropriate order and in accordance with BEOs to ensure quality service and consistency
  5. Promptly removes dishes as guests finish each course and at the end of each meal or function.
  6. Provides assistance to banquet supervisors/managers in the serving of guests during banquet functions to ensure a positive guest experience.

8.Cleans up, takes down or resets banquet space in accordance with supervisor/manager’s specifications to ensure the readiness of the space for other functions.

  1. Follows all adult beverage policies and procedures.
  2. Thoroughly communicates with management and banquet associates through daily communication and attends required meetings.
  3. Understand and applies all facility safety and security procedures as required to maintain a safe and secure environment for associates and guests.

12 . Keeps supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken.

  1. Performs all other duties as assigned.
