Job Summary: As a Banquet Server (On-Call), you are responsible for providing high-quality, personalized experiences to guests during their event. Your duties include preparing the room, setting stations, serving meals, arranging tables, and ensuring guest satisfaction while upholding the resort's standards of service excellence. Your role is vital in creating memorable experiences, requiring attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills, and a commitment to the resort's reputation for excellence. Reporting to the Director of Banquets, your essential functions will include: Promoting Regents service philosophy and style through our people attributes. Maintaining impeccable personal grooming standards to uphold the professional and property style of the resort. Setting up and breaking down event spaces, including arranging tables and chairs, setting tables with linens and tableware, and ensuring aesthetics meet standards. Providing excellent service during events, including taking and delivering orders, refilling drinks, clearing plates, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Communicating effectively with kitchen staff, other servers, and event coordinators to ensure guest requests and dietary restrictions are addressed. Understanding the resort's menu offerings to explain, recommend, and accommodate special requests or dietary restrictions. Providing exceptional customer service, being attentive, polite, and responsive to guest needs, and handling inquiries professionally. Adhering to high standards of service quality, maintaining a polished appearance, following protocols, and ensuring cleanliness. Collaborating with team members to handle large events efficiently and seamlessly. What We Need from You: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in high-end or luxury hospitality environments, such as fine dining or banquet facilities. Exceptional customer service skills, friendliness, attentiveness, and the ability to create memorable guest experiences. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with guests and staff. Physical stamina and ability to handle long periods on your feet and lift trays. Problem-solving skills and prompt issue resolution. High professionalism suitable for a luxury resort environment. Alcohol awareness certification, food service permit, or health/food handler card as required locally. Good reading and writing skills for taking orders and completing paperwork. Basic math skills for handling cash and credit transactions. Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. What You Can Expect from Us: The hourly pay rate for this role is $16.50 to $17.00, plus tips . This rate applies to work performed at Regent Santa Monica Beach . The pay scale is an estimate, subject to variation based on relevant factors such as experience, qualifications, and organizational needs.
