The Role

As a Pastry Cook, you’ll lead daily production of our house-made baked goods with consistency, discipline, and care. This role calls for technical skill, creativity, and a deep respect for process — someone who sees pastry not just as product, but as contribution. You’ll set the pace and standard for our program, shaping the rhythm of the kitchen each day.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare a variety of baked goods: cookies, tarts, laminated pastries, cakes, breads, and seasonal specialties
  • Lead production and execute recipes with consistency and attention to detail
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient station
  • Operate mixers, ovens, sheeters, and other equipment with care and precision
  • Collaborate on recipe refinement and seasonal menu development
  • Communicate clearly across the kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • Uphold kitchen systems for sanitation, labeling, storage, and prep

Tools of the Trade

  • Formal training in pastry/baking is preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with production sheets, scaling, and commercial kitchen equipment
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-concept environment
  • Experience with Toast POS is a plus (especially for pre-orders or inventory)

Position Details

Location: Oakwood Public Market – Dripping Springs, TX
Reports to: Kitchen Manager / Executive Chef
Status: Full-Time; Weekend availability required
Compensation: $19 - $24 per hour. Based on experience + tips + employee perks
