Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications Perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on vehicles. Test all systems or components ensuring they are secure and working properly. Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the maintenance issue. Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles. Prevent maintenance as it relates to repairing or replacing worn parts. Follow a checklist to ensure that each critical part of the vehicle is examined. Watch or inspect parts such as: like hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other possible troublesome items. Use power tools, machine tools and common hand tools. Review work orders and discuss with the supervisor. Inspect motor in operation, road test vehicles and test systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine, drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling, climate control, and electrical and electronic systems. Qualifications
Qualifications: 1 year of service center experience preferred Technical degree preferred ASE certifications preferred High School Diploma or GED Ability to identify the problem quickly Effective analytical and communication skills Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic Computer Skills Positive, friendly attitude Experience working on Toyota specific vehicles / FCA certification (all levels relevant). Preference will be given to candidates who have completed Toyota level training. Professional demeanor and strong work ethic. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Efficient problem-solving skills. Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment. Ability to work individually and as part of a team. High level of integrity and work ethic. Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and using power and hand-held equipment. Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history.
