For those larger events you are looking at, Seattle an/or Vancouver, BC are only a couple of hours drive south or north along I-5.
The hospital itself is located about 10 miles outside of the city limits.
On clear days, we have a great view of Mount Baker from our parking lot.
There are food options close by and a spot to go to the Nooksack River to get away at lunch time and read a book.
