About the role:
As an Associate Project Manager, you will lead sustaining projects for the IO&E Project Management team. You will collaborate cross-functionally and internationally to drive projects that are critical to business growth and continuity. You will join a team of passionate individuals striving to improve patient care.
Specifically, this role will be responsible for leading Sustaining Engineering initiatives for the TheraSphere Y-90 Glass Microspheres product platform and associated accessories. TheraSphere is the diamond of the IO&E portfolio and a targeted, FDA-approved radioembolization therapy. It is radioactive Yttrium-90 (Y-90) that allows for personalized and flexible treatment for patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
The projects will vary in size and scope but might include supporting Quality/Regulation driven projects, supporting material or supplier changes, executing product extensions, executing value improvement projects or product design enhancements. These projects often have a high-level visibility throughout the organization. This role interfaces with key cross-functional groups including R&D, design quality, packaging, labeling, regulatory affairs, marketing, clinical, medical safety, supplier quality and supplier engineering, since this product is a SMFD product.
Your responsibilities will include:
Partner and collaborate with various functions, regions, and business resources to achieve project objectives.
Generate and implement project plans, communications, and schedules to assist with task prioritization and workload adjustments to maximize team potential.
Manage project challenges including scope impact assessments and recommended solutions.
Build team ownership and commitment to project plan and identify, manage, and communicate project risks.
Interact with senior leaders on complex matters requiring coordination between organizations.
Prepare and deliver project status updates to management.
Document risk mitigation plans, decision logs, meeting minutes, project metrics, and other key communications.
Ensure current BSC policies and practices are followed.
Identify resources required for project activities, develop project budgets, resource allocation, and alignment to project timelines.
Effectively leading global project teams ensuring good cross-functional communications and alignment on project strategies.
Assist with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), making sure all incoming project requests and associated resources are accounted for.
Contract Manufacturer Management: Responsible for working with Supplier Quality, Supplier Engineering and other Project Managers to clearly communicate to the Contract Manufacturers about priority and portfolio project due dates.
Product/Technology Management: Provides input to the technical approach to technology application and new product development; Identifies, communicates, and manages project risk within appropriate level of experience.
Process Management: Knowledge of quality system use for the creation and continued compliance of products; Actively reviews policy and practice improvements to drive functional excellence; Influences cross-functional systems effectiveness.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or above in Engineering, Science, or Business related discipline, with 3-5 years of work experience in product development
Demonstrated project management experience leading cross functional teams with responsibility for managing project scope, schedule, budget, and performance
Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Results-oriented, positive attitude focused on delivering timely, accurate, and best in class execution
Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to communicate and present across all levels of the organization
English proficiency level 90%C1+
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Proficiency in MS Project

Preferred qualifications and competencies:
Engineering background preferred
Demonstrated experience leading projects in the medical device industry
Sustaining Project experience
Experience managing supplier relationships and supplied components
Demonstrated knowledge of global/OUS regulatory requirements
PMP® certification is a plus
