:
Essential Functions:
Coordinate new product implementation and production launches with cross-functional teams.
Manage team of Manufacturing Engineers in training, problem solving, and projects.
Mentor, coach, and develop Manufacturing Engineers to improve performance.
Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodology to increase efficiency through the value stream.
Collaborate with engineering teams to create and evaluate product and process designs.
Lead process improvement projects.
Prepare and oversee budgets for the group.
Establish facility targets for safety, quality, and productivity.
Develop and monitor key performance metrics.
Monitor performance and quality objectives of Production process.
Liaise with design engineering regarding product specifications.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct and control the activities of the assigned organization.
Up to 10% business travel.
Ability to obtain US Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related engineering experience.
2+ years people leadership experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
APQP.
Lean Six Sigma.
Knowledge of project management tools and techniques to plan and execute jobs.
Ability to troubleshoot and think critically to determine solutions to complex manufacturing problems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with other departments and management levels.
Ability to work well with a wide range of personnel from production workers to executives.
Understanding of complex manufacturing processes and the ability to identify areas of improvement.
Ability to smoothly handle disagreements and help teams find consensus.
Ability to motivate and engage personnel in a productive manner.
Firsthand experience onboarding new product lines
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task to meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, ensuring understanding across teams
Team oriented leadership style.
Understanding of automotive, aerospace and defense, high volume manufacturing, lean six sigma R&D, and composites manufacturing processes.
