Charles Wright Academy (CWA), located on a beautiful, wooded 107-acre campus, serves students in preschool through 12th grade. The only coeducational independent preschool-12 school in Tacoma, Washington, CWA provides challenging, college preparatory academics that prepare students to thrive in college and in life. Equally important is a wide array of experiential education, artistic, athletic, and service opportunities that promote students’ social-emotional development and provide avenues by which they discover and pursue their passions. Summary:
The Associate Director of Enrollment Management supports the Director of Enrollment
Management in the department's main function to strategically navigate to attract and retain
students. They are responsible for assisting in the development of strategic plans, establishing
methods to implement initiatives, monitoring progress to achieve enrollment targets, and
measuring outcomes. They have excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills and is able to
develop a rapport with colleagues, faculty, prospective students, alumni and the community. Must
be highly organized, proactive, organized and take initiative to implement new and more effective
processes to assist with the management of all parts of the enrollment pipeline.
Essential Functions:
Develop and execute admissions and marketing strategies and initiatives to recruit and retain students.
1. Serve as a key thought partner to the Director of Enrollment Management on the development and execution of the admissions and financial strategy to expand and attract a diverse and talented applicant pool
2. Assist and conduct dynamic and engaging presentations designed to promote the institution and attract a diverse and talented applicant pool
3. Lead and direct operations and logistics for in-person enrollment events’, examples are Preview Days and neighborhood events
4. Lead the overall visual design of presentations, website, marketing materials, and collateral
5. Develop and maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with internal and external colleagues and constituents
7. A member of the financial aid committee with the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Enrollment Management
8. Support and execute the retention efforts of current students, partnering with the Division Heads, Director of Enrollment Management and Advisors to ensure the retention of mission-aligned families
9. Assist in developing and implementing an admissions marketing and overall enrollment plan
10. Manage the Parent Ambassador and Student Ambassador Program
11. Assist with other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
2. Ability to maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with internal and external colleagues and constituents
3. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to deliver dynamic and engaging presentations to large and diverse audiences
4. Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
5. Strong customer service skills with the ability to simplify and clarify complex processes, and the ability to develop rapport to discuss sensitive and personal information
6. Essential traits of applicants should include self-reliance, an ability to work independently and collaboratively and a sense of humor.

Salary & Benefits
This position has a starting salary range between $80,000 and $90,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

Vacation: Employees receive 23 days of paid vacation per year in fiscal years 1-5 and 30 days of paid vacation in fiscal years 6+ of service.

Paid Holidays: CWA offers 12 paid holidays per year.
