This position supports the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. The Assistant Store Manager will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts and will lead the store team in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Essential Job Functions Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, including execution of customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.). Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring, and keeping training current. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members. Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy. Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner and contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases per procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently; issue refunds using correct payment methods and stage/return merchandise appropriately. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure team members comply with company policies, posted work schedules, and proper clocking in/out procedures. Perform all store opening/closing duties, day end procedures, money/deposits, bank deposits as needed, secure building, and manage security systems and vehicles as required. Assist in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. All other duties as assigned. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, Abilities Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
