JOB SUMMARY
A key member of the Specialized retail network, the assistant store manager balances retail excellence with a passion for people and our brand. This role involves encouraging successful retail operations, creating outstanding brand experiences, and supporting the store manager in daily activities. The assistant store manager works closely with staff and local riders as a host, brand advocate, and customer service expert. They also collaborate on store events focused on education, advocacy, and innovation, ensuring exceptional rider service, satisfaction, and sales goals are met.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Represent the store and lead retail staff in the absence of the Store Manager.
Assist with daily operations including scheduling, inventory, and team development.
Support and coach retail staff.
Help improve the store’s profitability and contribute to national revenue goals.
Create and maintain a transformative, inclusive, and rider-focused environment.
Monitor and support achievement of revenue and performance goals.
Develop long-term relationships with key riders and retailers.
Ensure cleanliness and organization standards are maintained.
Oversee timely delivery of special orders and home deliveries.
Coordinate with service and operations managers to ensure customer expectations and inventory management are handled effectively.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
Passion for cycling and the Specialized brand.
At least 1 year of retail experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with riders and team members.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.
Ability to stand for long periods, walk, kneel, and reach.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. with proper technique.
