Assistant Property Manager

We're currently seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support daily operations at one of our apartment communities in Houston, TX. This is a hands-on, career-building role where you'll work closely with the Property Manager, upper management, and even ownership while developing leadership and operational skills to prepare you for your next step.

• $52,000 base salary + performance-based bonus

What You'll Do:

• Conduct daily property walk-throughs to ensure curb appeal and operational excellence
• Support leasing and marketing efforts, including tours, lead follow-up, and application processing
• Assist with renewals, resident satisfaction, and retention strategies
• Help manage delinquencies, collections, and account follow-ups
• Monitor maintenance requests, make-readies, and supply inventory
• Audit rent rolls and oversee evictions, month-to-month residents, and lease expirations
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with licenses and permits
• Resolve resident concerns with a service-first approach
• Submit new hire paperwork, payroll updates, and other HR documentation to corporate
• Step in as acting manager when needed gaining valuable leadership exposure

You're a Great Fit If You Are:

• Experienced 3+ years in on-site property management or leasing
• Comfortable supervising teams or coordinating day-to-day site operations
• Proficient in ResMan or similar property management software
• Strong with communication, budgeting, and multitasking
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and great at follow-through
• Ambitious and ready to grow into a leadership role
