Job Overview: The Assistant Project Manager is primarily responsible for assisting the Project Manager in various areas, including marketing, estimating, project management, scheduling, and cost controls. This role is essential in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Schedule Management: Update and manage project schedules using Sure/Trak. Create look-ahead and phased schedules as needed. Contracts and Risk Management: Understand and assist in contract negotiations and compliance. External Relationships: Maintain communication with owners, architects, and subcontractors to resolve conflicts and ensure project alignment. Project Management: Organize and manage project documentation, including PCOs, submittals, and RFIs. Subcontractor Management: Ensure timely payments and address payment issues promptly. Safety Management: Promote safety culture by adhering to safety protocols and participating in training. Financial Management: Review construction-related expenditures and assist in cost forecasting. Project Development: Generate and qualify leads, participate in networking, and demonstrate knowledge of Forrester's products. Pre-Construction and Estimating: Write scopes of work, reconcile subcontractor proposals, and participate in the bid process. Other duties as assigned. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Excellent Organizational Skills. Efficient in MS Office Software. Demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and establish priorities. Must be goal oriented and a self-starter. Strong communication and analytical skills. Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office software; strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to write basic reports and correspondence. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and operations for project analysis. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply logical thinking to various practical problems and manage abstract and concrete variables. Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must pass background screening and drug test, and possess a valid drivers license. Work Environment: Ability to work in various environments, including office settings and construction sites. Education and Experience: Education: Bachelors/Masters degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 4 years in construction project management. CPR/First Aid and OSHA certifications are required within the first 90 days. Additional certifications (e.g., Maryland Environmental Green Card, LEED) are a plus. Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually Why Forrester is the place to build a great career?
