The Assistant Nurse Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care in the Pulmonary/Renal Hospitalist unit. This position is focused on providing leadership, oversight, and support to nursing staff during the night shift, contributing to a high standard of care for our patients. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division to coordinate planning, administrative management, and operational duties. Mentor and guide professional caregivers in delivering superior patient care while facilitating patient access and communication throughout their hospital stay. Maintain a visible presence on the unit as a leader, ensuring that compassionate and competent care is consistently provided to all customers, including patients and referring facilities. Support the development and implementation of policies and programs that align with the hospital's mission and values. Provide direction and support to unit staff while collaborating with other departmental leaders to achieve both short- and long-term objectives. Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a comparable advanced degree is preferred. Must possess a current New York State Registered Nurse license. Prior management experience is preferred.
