Join our team as an Assistant Nurse Manager in the Labor and Delivery department. This role involves 36 hours per week on day shifts, providing you with a stable and rewarding work environment. You will play a vital role in coordination, planning, and administrative management within the Labor & Delivery unit. Collaborating closely with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division, you will help mentor professional caregivers and facilitate superior patient care. Your responsibilities include: Being the visible leader in direct patient care during your primary shift. Ensuring competent and compassionate patient care is consistently provided to all customers, including referring facilities, hospital staff, and patients. Supporting the development and implementation of policies, programs, and services aligned with the hospital's mission and departmental vision. Providing direction and support to unit-based staff while collaborating with leaders from other services and departments to achieve short- and long-term goals. QUALIFICATIONS: To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications: Education: A Baccalaureate in nursing is required; a Master's of Nursing is preferred. Must hold a current New York State Registered Nurse registration or be eligible for licensure in New York State. Experience: Management experience is preferred. Communication Skills: You must be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization and with external customers. Creating a collegial and collaborative environment among team members is essential. Professional Skills: Demonstrate accountability for decisions and utilize problem-solving skills effectively.
