Join our dedicated team in the Labor & Delivery department, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! This full-time position offers 36 hours a week with day shifts available. As the Assistant Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for: Coordinating and planning operational and administrative duties alongside the Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division. Mentoring nursing staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Facilitating effective patient communication and transitions throughout the care process. Leading by example to support staff in providing competent and compassionate care to patients. Developing and implementing policies and programs consistent with our mission and departmental vision. Collaborating with other service and department leaders to achieve goals and objectives. Key Qualifications: Education: A Baccalaureate in nursing degree is required; a Master's of Nursing is preferred. Must have current New York State Registered Nurse registration or be eligible for licensure in New York State. Experience: Management experience is preferred. Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and external customers. Foster a collegial environment within the healthcare team and clearly articulate expectations. Professional Skills: Demonstrate accountability and responsibility in decision-making. Utilize problem-solving skills and provide coaching and mentorship to staff. This position is based in Ghent, NY.
