Detailed Position Description St. time Mary's contingent College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City is accepting résumés for the part-time contingent position of Assistant Swimming Coach (morning position.  Responsibilities include assisting in the management of all phases of a highly competitive NCAA Division III Men's & Women's Swimming program which includes attending and running morning and afternoon workouts (typically 5:30 am -8 am) for event focused groups; attending home and away meets; assisting in managing team initiatives for athlete success; recruitment of qualified student-athletes; and adherence to all NCAA Division III, conference and institutional policies and procedures. This is a part-time (10-15 hours per week) contingent position with no benefits provided running from September through March. The salary for this part-time morning position is $1,500 for the season, depending on qualifications and experience. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, and knowledge of NCAA and United East Conference rules and regulations. Minimum 5 years' experience coaching at the high school level or higher. ASCA Level 3 (physiology school) certified or equivalent. USA Swimming valid certified or equivalent (safe sport certified and background check at minimum). Must possess a driver's license; ability to travel for recruiting as necessary, work mornings and weekends; and ability to lift approximately thirty (30) pounds. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
