The Assistant Manager, Store Operations (AMSO) will work in close collaboration with the Club Manager, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional club performance. This position prepares individuals to assume leadership roles in departments such as Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience, providing targeted development and hands-on experience to effectively manage these areas. The AMSO plays a crucial role in upholding policies, enhancing member satisfaction, and ensuring that the club meets the Grand Opening Look Daily (GOLD) standards.
A focal responsibility in this role is to cultivate talent, demonstrate leadership, and consistently deliver results. The AMSO leads compliance efforts, collaborates with Business Partners, and oversees training and onboarding initiatives, ensuring operational excellence and food safety.

Labor Scheduling: Create and adjust schedules based on business needs, ensuring effective coverage.
Sales and Inventory Management: Direct processes to ensure product availability and minimize inventory shrinkage.
Champion Experience Standards: Model and enforce service standards across all departments.
Operational Readiness: Ensure all departments are prepared for daily operations by adhering to close to open standards.

Qualifications
4+ years in a supervisory role within retail, warehouse, or supermarket operations.
A strong work ethic and results-driven approach with commitment to high member service levels.
Superior communication skills with the capability to inspire and lead a large team.
Proficient understanding of shrink control, employee development, merchandising, and customer service.
Proven leadership abilities in managing teams and driving results.
Keen knowledge of store operations and related procedures.
Completion of BJ's training programs preferred.
High school diploma or college degree preferred.
Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Email) required.
Ability to obtain and maintain Servsafe certification.
Forklift certification required.
Availability for various shifts required.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Physical Requirements
Frequent movement on hard surfaces, occasional bending, pulling, and reaching.
Lifting up to 30 pounds regularly, occasional heavier lifting with assistance.
Exposure to temperature variations and loud sounds in perishable areas.

In alignment with Pay Transparency requirements, the estimated compensation range for this position is $69,500.00-$86,750.00, reflecting various factors such as experience, education, and qualifications.
