Here's how you can help. We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager of Facilities to join our team and rise to the challenge of empowering service.
Position Highlights:
Leads the overall operation and maintenance of building, equipment and grounds. Ensure compliance with all maintenance procedures and applicable regulations. Coordinates and leads daily facilities team
activities and scheduled maintenance activities. Recommend vendors, provide input on selection, assist
with contract negotiations, create reports, track capital improvements, budgets and quarterly forecasts,
facility maintenance and special projects as assigned.
What You’ll Do:
- Executes the full range of building maintenance duties including electrical; plumbing; carpentry locksmithing; heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) maintenance and repair duties in the upkeep of the association building facilities.
- Manages capital projects for the headquarters office and grounds including work with architects, contractors, advisors. in design and implementation of these projects.
- Along with Chief of Finance, negotiates terms of contracts with suppliers for the purchase of services or goods. Follows procedures to submit documentation to purchase supplies and pay vendors.
- Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for the maintenance, repair and alteration of association facilities; identify resource needs; recommend and implement policies and procedures; analyze space utilization for enhanced staff experience.
- Manage department operations by developing schedules, assigning and monitoring work, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards and resolving operational problems.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional organizations as appropriate to field.
- Develops and manages relationships with outside vendors and suppliers. Prepare maintenance specifications for work to be performed by outside contractors; oversee and insect the work of outside contractors related to building maintenance services; ensure work is accomplished in a timely and appropriate manner; ensure compliance with applicable codes,
- Serves as an advisor and/or provides technical/managerial support to others, including internal moves, furniture setups, and installations.
- Prepare summaries and detailed reports with a five-year capital expenditures plan for presentation to the board of directors.
- Serves as primary building contact for any after-hours, weekend or holiday facility needs.
- Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- BA from a four-year college or university or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of building maintenance oversight.
- Experience leading building services/maintenance teams.
Compensation: Exempt, $85,000- $95,000
