What You Will Do
Lead all 1st shift operations related to shipping and receiving inventory, ensuring accurate records, proper inventory control, and timely order fulfillment
Set performance standards and targets for your team and designated areas
Identify and implement process improvements in shipping, receiving, and quality to boost efficiency
Coordinate outbound carrier schedules and appointments to meet delivery timelines
Ensure outbound shipments meet customer compliance requirements
Provide performance reports and analysis, and recommend improvements to your manager
Oversee administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory
Support and execute safety, security, and facility maintenance programs
Maximize the use of warehouse management systems to improve labor efficiency and meet service goals
Recommend system enhancements for continuous improvement
Ensure team training and compliance with ISO 9001-2000 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) standards
Participate in third-party audits
Hire, motivate, evaluate, and develop team members
Provide coaching and mentoring to your team
Advise management on personnel matters and escalate issues when needed
Work within budgetary guidelines and assist in developing and reconciling annual budgets
Create and maintain written departmental standards and procedures
What You Will Bring
Proven experience managing and developing leaders at the Supervisor level or higher
A track record of successfully leading and implementing process improvements
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights to improve operational efficiency
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
Demonstrated success in driving safety, quality, and compliance initiatives
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution or manufacturing environment
Lean Six Sigma certification or similar process improvement training (preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred)
The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $80,000 and $93,000/yr. Please note that this position's salary range may include multiple levels. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
