We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Food Service Operations Manager who will be the heartbeat of our food service experience, ensuring guest satisfaction and operational excellence. As an integral part of our team, you will support the Department Manager in all aspects of department operations, from ordering and merchandising to training team members. Key Responsibilities: Welcoming guests with a friendly demeanor and engaging them upon entering the department. Assisting in the recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management of department staff. Fostering effective communication throughout the department to keep all team members informed. Creating and maintaining a positive work environment and team spirit within the department. Demonstrating leadership by efficiently managing time and delegating tasks. Supporting and implementing division programs to achieve operational goals. Playing a vital role in achieving and exceeding financial targets. Ensuring high-quality product availability that meets customer expectations. Safeguarding departmental assets and ensuring compliance with company policies. Upholding workplace safety and maintaining cleanliness in the work environment. Consistently applying departmental systems and procedures for efficiency. Collaborating with the Department Manager for strategic planning and execution of production and promotional goals. Coaching and developing team members in line with company procedures and values. Assisting in updating manuals and record-keeping. Participating in inventory management and reporting processes. Assuming responsibility in the absence of the Department Manager, including ordering and merchandising tasks. Ensuring adherence to Food Safety Procedures. Exhibiting effective conflict management skills. Performing additional duties as required by upper management. Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. High School Diploma or equivalent; culinary, restaurant, or hospitality degree is a plus. Minimum of 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry. Proficient in professional communication with all levels of staff. Self-motivated with problem-solving capabilities and ability to work independently. Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours) and lift up to 50 lbs. Capacity to work in a cold environment (freezer/fridge) for short durations. Physical requirements include bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, and walking. Proficiency in basic math and computer tasks (Word, Excel, Email). Able to thrive in a fast-paced yet controlled work environment. Must maintain Certified Food Safety Manager certification. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply.
