Compensation Range: $90,000 - 110,000/year
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible to assist in the overall management and supervision of all nursing programs including program students and instructors. The ADON must maintain program standards, including continued compliance with all state and federal regulations governing program operation. The ADON will provide instruction to both theory and clinical settings. The ADON will also review instructor practice in theory and clinical settings, ensuring compliance with program guidelines. The ADON workload is expected to be 80% teaching and 20% administrative.

Credentials and Experience:
A minimum of four years’ experience as a licensed registered nurse
A minimum of two years’ experience in teaching in pre- or post- licensure registered nursing programs
A minimum of one year experience as an administrator with validated performance of administrative responsibilities
Have completed a course or courses offered by an approved school with instruction in administration, teaching, and curriculum development.
Current, active, unrestricted California licensure as a registered nurse – must be in good standing
Bachelor’s degree in a related subject area from an accredited college which includes course work in nursing, education or administration, Master’s degree preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform all nursing duties associated with patient care in the clinical setting
Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods
Must be able to adequately supervise students in the clinical setting
Special Requirements:
Flexible hours to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
Attendance at the Platt College Graduation Ceremony Required
In the absence of a Director of Nursing (DON) the ADON will assume the responsibilities of the DON on an interim basis
