Title: 2nd Shift Team Lead
Shift: 2nd shift - 2:30-11:30 PM M-F, train on 1st 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Pay: $24-$30/hr
Location: Westlake, OH
Team Lead Role:
The 2nd shift team lead is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and productivity of machine operators, material handlers and other production associates. This is a working supervisory position in that the individual will operate a tow motor and/or other work stations while overseeing shift operations and motivating others. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, patience, commitment to teamwork, and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Team Lead Responsibilities:
Set 2nd shift's production targets according to the schedule to meet on-time delivery goals.
Ensure 100% compliance with Company policies, safety regulations, and quality procedures
Set a positive tone and pace for maximum safety, quality, and efficiency.
Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and ensure efficient use of resources.
Develop an understanding of ERP system (Axis 7.1)
Conduct meetings covering shift assignments/performance/goals, safety topics, quality standards and internal processes
Understand each customer's requirements as they pertain to various products acceptability
Be able to identify defects in aluminum such as camber, edge wave, etc. and make appropriate decisions regarding material's usability for specific products
Use various measurement tools, such as a tape measure, caliper, micrometer, etc. to perform part checks and compare to the customer's print.
Maintain accurate production records and report on performance metrics.
Collaborate with other roles in production, maintenance, quality, and engineering to identify areas for process improvement, costs, waste reduction, and ensure smooth operations
Ability to learn the set-up and operation of various machines over time. This includes turret press, shear, roll form, cut-to-length machines, and/or press brake.
Have exceptional attendance, work ethic and be available for overtime/weekends as business demands.

About you:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing setting
Minimum 2 years experience supervising a team of people
Two years working regularly with an ERP System
Certified to safely operate a sit-down, propane tow motor - if not certified, the company will provide certification
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards in manufacturing
PREFERRED:
Vocational/technical training in areas relating to manufacturing, quality assurance, or machine maintenance
Experience inspecting or forming metals
Familiarity with ISO-9001 standards
Knowledge/experience with a cut-to-length machine, press brake, roll form machine, shear, and/or turret press
Able to read manufacturing blue prints
Able to use tape measure, micrometer, caliper to inspect parts
Comfortable using an ERP system to…
Able to use Microsoft Outlook and Word
Ability and willingness to cross-train into other/any/all areas of plant operations
Able to multitask and oversee simultaneous training of multiple operators
Ability and willingness to meet high-pressure deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Able to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
High level of personal initiative with effective time management skills
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Work in standing/walking/sitting position in excess of eight hours per day
Lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Perform repetitive motions in excess of eight hours per day
Demonstrate good eye/hand coordination
Tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, noise, temperature, sun and other elements present both in and outside the facility
