Prime Home Health and Companion Care is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs) to support friendly elderly, male client in his own home. As this client's caregiver, you’ll provide essential care that includes personal care assistance, emotional support, and helping to create a safe, clean environment for each client.

Client Location: Westfield, MA (potential for additional shifts with clients in nearby areas)

Shift Details: Mondays 8:00-10:30 AM, Tuesdays 8:00-10:15 AM, Wednesdays 8:00-9:15 AM, Thursdays 8:00-10:15 AM, and Fridays 8:00-10:45 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assist with daily activities, including medication reminders, sugar checks (client is diabetic), cooking breakfast, laundry, trash removal, bed making, and tidying up.
• Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional encouragement, helping clients maintain a positive outlook.
• Mobility Assistance: Aid clients with mobility by assisting with taking walks.
• Follow Care Plans: Work closely with nurses, therapists, and doctors to provide care as outlined in individual care plans.
• Maintain Environment: Keep the home environment clean, safe, and supportive of each client’s needs.
• Documentation: Accurately record patient care and report any changes in condition to the care team.

Requirements

• Certification: Current HHA, C.N.A. or PCA certification
• License: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
• Experience: Prior experience with Hoyer lifts and Sit-to-Stand devices is beneficial but not required.
• Skills: Compassionate, reliable, patient, and committed to helping others.
