Overall Responsibilities of the Hart Mart Supervisor:
Lead a team by example to create and maintain an exceptional store experience for our members and guests.
Ensure that each team member meets or exceeds member service expectations by setting the standard and coaching their performance.
Create an atmosphere that enables team members to work well together.
Able to always project a professional manner and stay calm in difficult situations.
Adheres to Hart Ranch Camping Resort Employee and Handbook Employee Safety Manual.
Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Operations - The Hart Mart Supervisor will: Provide input to budgets, including the determination as to number of staff and relevant other material resources.
General office duties will be a portion of this position.
Oversee daily store operations.
Manage inventory by ensuring product mix and inventory levels are properly maintained to increase sales and control inventory.
Maintain safety and security of the store, properly documenting any incidents that occur
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws within the scope of the convenience store operation.
Maintain positive public relations, set positive example for staff, and provide optimal level of services to all Members and guests.
Possess the ability to communicate professionally through all mediums (email, telephone, and in-person).
Maximize sales and profits within the store, control store expenses, monitor and correct shrinkage problems and operations within established budget.
Perform cleaning tasks according to schedule to ensure Mart Mart exceeds all cleanliness standards.
Operate the POS and other sales equipment within company guidelines.
Team Members - The Hart Mart Supervisor will: Review job applications, interview candidates, and hire and train them.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Appraise employee performance; reward and discipline employees; address employee complaints and resolve problems.
Establishes standards and procedures for work of Hart Mart Department staff.
Requirements
Minimum of high school education and 21 years old. Motivated self-starter. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds routinely, and lift and carry up to 60 pounds periodically, including retrieval from a basement storage area. Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed. Hold a valid state driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
