Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time Special Education teaching position offers an opportunity to support K-12 students across multiple grade levels, from elementary through high school. Serving a diverse caseload, you will work with students who require specialized instruction tailored to their unique learning needs. This contract role begins ASAP and extends through the end of the school year, with part-time or full-time availability encouraged for all qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in grades K-12
  • Adapt general curriculum to meet the needs of students with disabilities in various grade settings, including elementary, middle, and high school
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, speech therapists, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive student support
  • Maintain accurate records and provide progress reports for students educational development
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience working with students across multiple grade levels, including elementary, middle, and high school settings
  • Strong understanding of individualized instruction and differentiated teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with interdisciplinary teams and families
  • Ability to manage a K-12 caseload effectively
