Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position offers an exciting opportunity to work with students across the entire K-12 spectrum, from preschool through 12th grade. Based in Arcata, CA, this contract role begins ASAP and runs through the end of the school year, providing a diverse and rewarding caseload spanning elementary, middle, and high school levels. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations, screenings, and diagnostics for students from preschool to 12th grade
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions to optimize student outcomes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP certification or licensure appropriate to the educational setting
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in school environments across multiple grade levels
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload including students with varying speech and language needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
