Job Title: Warehouse Worker - $17/HR - 1st Shift Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team. The role involves working within our shipping team, ensuring timely and accurate shipping of inventory, and maintaining up-to-date inventory records. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic warehouse environment with potential overtime opportunities. Responsibilities Operate a sit-down hilo for inventory management and transportation. Control and maintain accurate inventory records. Document and update shipping slips in the system accurately. Receive incoming goods and ensure correct inventory processing. Utilize a computer to track inventory and facilitate the shipping of parts to customers. Support the packing and boxing of parts to ensure product safety during transit. Collaborate effectively within a team and communicate clearly with team members. Demonstrate attention to detail in all tasks. Essential Skills Proficiency in using hand tools and assembly techniques. Experience in a warehouse setting. Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to use power tools and build pallets. At least 1 year of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing setting. Experience operating a sit-down hilo. Work Environment The role is based in a large, clean warehouse environment, divided into manufacturing, shipping/receiving, assembly, and testing areas. The facility is not temperature controlled, being cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer. The dress code is casual, requiring jeans, a t-shirt, safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots. Breaks include a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two paid 10-minute breaks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.
