What you will be doing: In your role as a Service Technician, you will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we provide professional and knowledgeable technical support to our customers. You will service and maintain business equipment such as warewash equipment, dish machines, floor care and carpet care equipment. You will have direct contact and communication with customers, providing them with technical information and support. Your responsibilities will also include testing new equipment, detecting malfunctions, repairing machines, keeping records of service calls and parts used, maintaining inventory, and completing necessary paperwork for billing manufacturers for services provided as well as warranty work. You will also help determine service call and installation priorities.

What You Bring to the Table:

Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and efficiently maintain the proper functionality of equipment Sound understanding of technical aspects of the equipment, including the ability to detect malfunctions Ability to know and understand warranty processes Ability to maintain a clean driver's license and drive safely and courteously in all kinds of weather and road conditions An ability and willingness to maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, including performing pre-trip vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance concerns Excellent communication skills A team player with a positive attitude Strong focus on customer service Excellent communication skills Able to work independently at customer sites Demonstrated ability to handle and solve challenges and demonstrate initiative

What’s needed: Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma and/or Certificate from a Vocational / Technical school 1+ years of mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting experience Computer literate with basic knowledge of networking Electronic & mechanical experience/aptitude Valid driver's license with a safe driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic plumbing skills Basic electronic circuits testing skills
