Be the Best Volunteer Services Coordinator You Can Be If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you:Associate degree, preferred2+ years professional experience as a volunteer in a healthcare, human services or similar agency2+ years' experience in a healthcare setting, hospice, preferredAbility to coordinate, supervise and evaluate volunteer servicesAbility to organize, educate and develop volunteer hospice personnel for both patient and organizational needsExperience in hospice, especially in bedside volunteering, training and supporting adults, preferredResponsibilities: As a Volunteer Services Coordinator, you will:Maintain all necessary volunteer records, including up-to-date volunteer lists, availability, volunteer assignments, volunteer time and volunteer personnel recordsParticipate in volunteer recruitment and conduct volunteer screening interviewsIn collaboration with the Director-Patient Experience (DPE), develop and coordinate volunteer training classes and ongoing volunteer education and support meetingsCoordinate the activities of volunteers not involved in direct patient careAssist the DPE to creatively develop and implement the volunteer program utilizing community, regional, and national resourcesCoordinate Volunteer Recognition activitiesReceive information on new admissions; Assign volunteers to team(s) and provide them with the necessary information to support patient needsOur Investment in You Caring for others starts with caring for you.
