About the role - Underground Mobile Equipment Mechanic (Southeast US)
Orica is hiring an Underground Mobile Equipment Mechanic (Southeast US) will provide maintenance and reliability support for the mobile fleet equipment and plant to deliver sustainable revenue and effective cost management for the southeast region. This position will work in underground mines maintaining and repairing process equipment.
Work Schedule
Monday through Thursday
Hours may vary 40-50 hours/week
Travel in TN, NC, SC, GA, and routine trips to a Louisiana underground mine.
Possibility of travel 60-80% with occasional overnights

What you will be doing
Activities can include but not limited to schedule servicing, repairs, alterations and breakdown maintenance. Ensuring the maintenance of MMUs and fixed plant conform to SAP PM.
Know and adhere to relevant procedures, statutory requirements and codes
Continually reassesses risks associated with regional operation and maintenance processes taking appropriate corrective action as required.
Provide Product Pump rebuild.
Mentoring of staff and local service contractors in the support of Orica's Operations.
Support local area Field Support Technician
Provide onsite and phone based technical support.
Assist Asset Lead, Maintenance Supervisor, and Territory Managers as required.
Provide feedback to Asset Lead on common mode failures and communicate appropriate actions
Compilation of Alerts and bulletins for continuous improvement and corrective action tasks.
What you will bring Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven confidence in working independently in remote areas
4-5 years experience in troubleshooting or maintenance environment.
Computer literate with industrial applications
Expert practical understanding of, and experience with, control theory and systems (including electronics, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics).
Highly developed problem-solving abilities.
Underground mining work preferred
MSHA certification not required

Your qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent
CDL Class B license is preferred

Compensation Range Hourly $27.26 - 38.16

(Salary to be determined by the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
