As a Unarmed Security Professional - Retail Site  in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more . As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment within a high-end retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to guests and staff. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally, respond promptly to situations as they arise, and use technology such as computers or tablets as part of your daily duties. This position requires a valid driver's license in the job state, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your patrol duties. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $27.80 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon12:30 PM - 09:30 PMTue12:30 PM - 09:30 PMFri11:30 AM - 08:30 PMSat12:00 PM - 09:00 PM What You’ll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns. Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel. Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and maintaining a visible presence. Support loss prevention efforts by remaining alert to potential theft or suspicious behavior within the retail environment. Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to maintain a positive environment. Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner. State, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred. Experience in loss prevention is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
