3–5 years of litigation experience

About the Role:

A mid-sized California-based law firm is seeking a sharp, driven  Trial & Litigation Associate  to join its Los Angeles office. This position offers the chance to work on high-impact litigation matters involving constitutional law, civil rights, First Amendment, takings, and class actions, as well as eminent domain cases tied to major infrastructure projects across the state.

You'll be part of a high-performing litigation team that thrives on strategic thinking and collaboration. From day one, you’ll take part in pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial prep, and appeals—gaining hands-on experience and making a real impact. What You’ll Be Doing:

Handle all stages of litigation across federal and state courts

Shape legal strategies for complex, high-stakes cases

Contribute to eminent domain and public project cases of statewide significance

Collaborate across teams and offices in a supportive, fast-paced environment

Present clear, persuasive legal arguments in writing and in court

Must-Haves:

3–5 years of litigation experience

JD and strong academic credentials

Strong experience in complex case management and electronic discovery

Proven ability with law and motion practice in both state and federal courts

Skilled in trial preparation, including developing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and managing depositions

Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills
