No o Certified Chest Pain Center o Stroke Center o Radius rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit ● Unit Information: o Beds: 32 ▪ Census? Average patients/day? 32 o Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months Med/Tele RN experience o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes ● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o Stroke, Respiratory Illnesses: Flu/Pneumonia/COVID, Renal Failure, Peritoneal Dialysis, Wounds, etc. ● Patient Ratios: o RN: 1:5 o LPN (if applicable): 1:5 o CNA: 1:10 ● Required Licensure & Certifications: o RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS ● Skills required: o Basic Med/Tele skillset: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating Cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, Central line management, etc. ● Support within the Department: o CNA - ADLs, mobility, feeding o No HUC o Charge nurse – may or may not have patient assignment o Phlebotomy? Yes o IV/VAT Team? Yes o RT, 24/7 o Hospitalist, 24/7 o Intensivist, 24/7 o Telemetry monitoring/tech?
