Position: Float Pool Registered Nurse – Acute Care Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Float Pool Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, compassionate care across a variety of acute care settings, including Medical-Surgical, Critical Care (ICU), Progressive Care (PCU), and the Emergency Department. This dynamic role requires the nurse to float across all areas of the Adena Health System, including its critical access hospitals, providing essential support where patient care needs are greatest. The RN will work in close collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, patients, and families to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care delivery. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct patient care across multiple units based on current assignment and staffing needs Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to guide patient care Maintain effective communication and collaboration with all members of the healthcare team Adapt quickly to various unit protocols, patient populations, and care environments Ensure compliance with clinical standards, safety guidelines, and documentation protocols Required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Ideal Candidate Profile: Highly flexible and able to thrive in fast-paced, changing clinical environments Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently across diverse care units Demonstrates excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills Why Join Our Float Pool?
