Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the PTA directs, administers and modifies physical therapy patient care programs upon assignment after evaluation by the Physical Therapist. Performs administrative duties and participates in department Performance Improvement, Infection Control, Safety and Education programs as directed. The staff Physical Therapist Assistant may be assigned to orient staff and students and to assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual. Mary Medical Center Coursework/Training and Graduate of American Physical Therapy Association training program. Associate's Degree and Allied Health Profession (Clinical Associates Degree). Equivalent training, Or Experience as specified by the Physical Therapy Board of California. California Physical Therapy Assistant License 5 years of experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, or sub-acute care settings.
