JOB OVERVIEW: The Team Sports Retail Sales Leader plays a vital role in maintaining brand standards and enhancing the teammate experience. Working closely with the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the lead serves as the authority within their department, focused on providing exceptional service to customers while guiding teammates. By embodying leadership qualities such as empathy, resilience, optimism, and collaboration, they stand out in our team. Assist in building and hiring a strong team by participating in in-store interviews and department tours.
Foster a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate to build trust and respect, contributing to a vibrant store culture.
Plan and organize store activities 30 days in advance, collaborating with the Assistant Store Manager on staffing and execution of daily tasks and events.
Effectively delegate responsibilities to ensure brand standards and daily operations are met.
Maintain merchandising and presentation standards by adhering to established guidelines for floor sets, pricing, and inventory management.
Support the leadership team with operational oversight in accordance with company policies.
Assist in training new teammates on procedures while also cross-training existing staff.
Focus on coaching and developing both yourself and others, emphasizing the rationale behind tasks and processes.
Lead by example to align team responsibilities with organizational goals, ensuring an exceptional shopping experience.
Promote a welcoming and safe store environment for teammates and customers alike.
Follow safety and operational procedures, maintaining confidentiality of company information.
Embrace a collaborative approach to support all areas of the store as needed.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS: Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Previous retail sales or customer-focused experience preferred.
Physical capability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift items weighing between 15 to 35 lbs. repeatedly.
Ability to be active for extended periods (up to 4 hours) while standing or walking.
Comfortable working at heights greater than 4 feet with the use of ladders or platforms.
Able to perform repetitive motions for short durations (up to 2 hours continuously).
