Swim Instructors (Full-time & Part-time)

Swim Instructor (Part-time &/or Full-time) The Y is a leading non-profit for strengthening community, and the nation's longest provider of swim lessons to increase skill and safety in and around water. This position provides direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes. Part-time (Shifts) SWIM INSTRUCTOR Needed: Saturdays: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: 4-7 p.m. Must be: certified as swim lesson instructor and Lifeguard. certified in CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Basic First Aid able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA Standards- swim 4 of the 6 strokes in good form. YMCA Swim Instructor certified or equivalent certification. Full-time SWIM INSTRUCTOR Needed: Mondays, Tuesdays , Wednesdays, and Thursdays: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Must be: - certified as swim lesson instructor and Lifeguard. - certified in CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Basic First Aid - able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA Standards: swim 4 of the 6 strokes in good form. - YMCA Swim Instructor certified or equivalent certification. All positions require the ability to obtain PA State Police, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Fingerprint and National Sex Offenders Registry Clearances. If you do not have current (within six months) clearances the Y will help you obtain them. Free clearances are based on a six-month retention.
